NAIOP, the prominent commercial real estate trade group, has rebranded as the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, or CREDA. The organization, which was founded in 1967, made the announcement today without specifying a catalyst for the name change.
The rebranding affects the group's nomenclature but not its operational footprint: CREDA continues to represent more than 21,000 members through 55 chapters spread across North America. Leadership emphasized that the shift is purely a branding exercise, not a change in strategic direction.
According to association officials, both its advocacy and education mission remain unchanged. The group plans to continue pushing pro-development policies and providing professional development resources for its members.
CREDA will now operate under its new acronym in all official communications, signage, and member materials. Existing member benefits and chapter structures are expected to remain intact during the transition period.
