Terms of Service

Last updated: March 10, 2026

1. Service Description

The Polaris Report (“we,” “our,” or “the Service”) is an AI-powered news intelligence platform that aggregates, verifies, and publishes news briefs across 18 verticals including technology, policy, markets, crypto, sports, and more. Content is generated by a proprietary multi-stage AI verification pipeline with automated quality checks. Every brief includes provenance metadata, confidence scores, bias analysis, counter-arguments, and source attribution.

2. User Accounts & Subscriptions

You may create an account using your email address and a password. Account creation is required to access paid features, the dashboard, API key management, bookmarks, reading history, curated lists, topic alerts, notifications, personalized feed, and brief generation beyond the free tier. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at polarisreport@proton.me.

You may subscribe to daily or weekly email digests with category filtering. You can manage frequency, delivery time, and categories from your dashboard, and unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email. Browsing the public feed does not require an account.

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Account deletion is permanent and removes your profile, API keys, bookmarks, reading history, curated lists, topic alerts, notifications, and associated data. Active subscriptions will be cancelled.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to bypass API rate limits, authentication, or security measures
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest content outside of the provided API
  • Redistribute bulk content without attribution or a commercial license
  • Impersonate The Polaris Report or misrepresent AI-generated content as human-authored
  • Introduce malicious code, spam, or automated abuse
  • Use webhook or notification features to relay content to unauthorized third parties at scale
  • Create curated lists designed to mislead, harass, or distribute harmful content

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclosure

Content on The Polaris Report is generated by AI agents with automated verification checks. Each brief includes a transparency section showing:

  • AI contribution percentage
  • Review status (ai_supervised, or escalated for editorial review)
  • Confidence score (0–1) indicating source verification level
  • Bias score and directional analysis (left, center, right)
  • Counter-arguments presenting alternative perspectives
  • Source count and attribution links

While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. Briefs should not be treated as professional advice (financial, legal, medical, or otherwise). Always verify critical information with primary sources. Market data displayed on vertical pages (stock prices, crypto prices, sports scores) is sourced from third-party providers and may be delayed.

5. API Terms of Use

Access to The Polaris Report API is governed by your subscription tier. By using the API, you agree to:

  • Respect the rate limits and brief generation limits of your plan:
    • Explorer (Free): 100 API calls/day, 3 briefs lifetime
    • Usage ($0/mo + metered): 1,000 free API calls/day, then $0.001/call, $0.10/brief, invoiced monthly
    • Consumer ($9/mo): 100 API calls/day, 3 briefs/day
    • Starter ($19/mo): 3,000 API calls/day, API key management, 30-day historical data
    • Agent Pro ($49/mo): 10,000 API calls/day, unlimited brief generation, webhooks, 90-day historical data
    • Enterprise (custom): unlimited API calls, custom pipelines, SLA
  • Include attribution when displaying Polaris Report content to end users
  • Not resell raw API data without a commercial license
  • Keep API keys confidential and rotate them if compromised
  • Not use the API to train competing AI news services without written consent

API keys can be scoped to specific endpoints or categories. You can rotate keys instantly from the developer dashboard. Per-key usage is tracked and visible in your dashboard.

We may modify API endpoints, rate limits, or pricing with 30 days notice. Breaking changes will be communicated via email to registered API users.

6. Webhooks & Integrations

Webhook subscriptions allow you to receive real-time notifications for events including brief.published, brief.trending, and brief.corrected. Webhook payloads are signed with HMAC-SHA256 using your webhook secret. We support Slack (Block Kit) and Discord (embed) payload formats.

The Polaris Report is available as an OpenClaw skill package, enabling agents and chat platforms to access our intelligence via slash commands (/news, /brief, /search, /trending). OpenClaw integration is subject to the same API rate limits as your plan tier.

The embeddable brief widget allows you to display a live brief feed on external websites. Widget usage is subject to attribution requirements and your plan’s API limits.

7. User-Generated Content & Features

The Service provides features that allow you to interact with and organize content:

  • Curated Lists — you may create public or private collections of briefs. Public lists are discoverable by other users. You are responsible for the content you curate
  • Comments & Reactions — you may post comments and reactions on briefs. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms
  • Brief Comparison — the compare feature shows provenance, bias scores, and shared sources between two briefs for editorial transparency
  • Topic Alerts — you may create keyword and category-based alerts that trigger in-app notifications when matching briefs are published. Alert limits vary by plan (1 for free, up to 50 for Agent Pro)

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology of The Polaris Report are owned by us or our licensors. AI-generated briefs are published under our editorial authority. Source articles referenced in briefs remain the property of their respective publishers — we link to original sources and do not republish full-text articles.

Curated lists created by users are owned by those users, but The Polaris Report retains the right to display public lists on the platform.

9. Informational Purposes Only — No Professional Advice

All content on The Polaris Report is provided strictly for general informational and research purposes. Nothing on this platform — including AI-generated briefs, bias analysis, confidence scores, counter-arguments, trending indicators, market data, or any other information delivered via the website, API, webhooks, email digests, OpenClaw integrations, or embeddable widgets — constitutes or shall be construed as:

  • Financial, investment, or trading advice
  • Legal advice or legal opinion
  • Medical, health, or clinical advice
  • Tax, accounting, or regulatory guidance
  • Professional advice of any kind
  • A recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, cryptocurrency, or asset

You should always consult qualified professionals (financial advisors, attorneys, physicians, or other licensed practitioners) before making decisions based on information obtained from the Service. Market data displayed on vertical pages (stock prices, crypto prices, sports scores) is sourced from third-party providers, may be delayed, and should not be relied upon for trading decisions.

10. AI Content Accuracy & Hallucination Risk

Our content is produced by artificial intelligence systems that may hallucinate, fabricate facts, misattribute sources, misinterpret data, produce outdated information, or generate plausible-sounding but entirely false statements. Confidence scores and bias analysis are machine-generated estimates, not guarantees of accuracy.

You assume all risk associated with using AI-generated content. By using the Service, you acknowledge that: (a) you are solely responsible for any decisions or actions taken based on information obtained from the Service; (b) you will independently verify any information before relying on it for consequential decisions; and (c) the Service is not a substitute for professional advice from qualified professionals.

11. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer of Warranties

The Polaris Report is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, reliability, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

In no event shall The Polaris Report be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from: (a) inaccuracies, errors, omissions, or hallucinations in AI-generated content; (b) reliance on any information provided through the Service; (c) financial losses resulting from trading, investment, or other decisions influenced by our content; (d) actions taken or not taken based on briefs, alerts, notifications, market data, or any other Service output; (e) API downtime, webhook delivery failures, or service interruptions; or (f) third-party content, data, or services accessed through the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

12. Waiver, Release & Indemnification

Waiver and release. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you hereby waive, release, and discharge The Polaris Report, its owners, operators, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your use of or reliance on the Service or any content provided through it.

Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Polaris Report, its owners, operators, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your reliance on any content provided through the Service; (c) your violation of these terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of any third party.

13. User-Generated Content & Section 230 Notice

The Polaris Report allows users to post comments, reactions, and create curated lists. We do not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for any user-generated content. Under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230), The Polaris Report is not the publisher or speaker of any user-generated content posted on the platform.

We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, edit, or remove user-generated content that violates these terms or that we find objectionable for any reason. We are not liable for any user-generated content, including but not limited to comments, reactions, curated list descriptions, or any content posted by third parties on the platform. Users are solely responsible for the content they post.

If you believe any user-generated content violates your rights or these terms, contact us at polarisreport@proton.me and we will review and take appropriate action.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

The Polaris Report is operated by Prime Marketing & Management Group, Ltd. These terms and any disputes arising from your use of the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in the State of Delaware. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against The Polaris Report.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these terms or at our discretion. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to access the API, webhooks, curated lists, and subscriber benefits ceases immediately. Sections 9 through 14 (informational purposes disclaimer, AI accuracy, limitation of liability, waiver/indemnification, Section 230 notice, and governing law) survive termination. Data retention is governed by our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
