Josh Herrin dominated Darryn Binder in a double-header at Ridge Motorsports Park, halving his rival's championship lead and reigniting MotoAmerica's tightest rivalry. Herrin's sweep keeps the title fight alive after Binder had appeared to pull away in recent rounds.

Herrin posted the fastest laps in both races, despite Binder qualifying on pole. The 33-year-old American executed clean passes in the opening corners each day, then ran a consistent pace to gap the field. Binder struggled with tire degradation in the second race, dropping to third behind a charging Cameron Petersen.

The result tightens the championship standings significantly. Binder's lead now stands at just 12 points with four rounds remaining — down from 32 before the Ridge race weekend. Petersen sits third, 46 points back, but mathematically still in contention.

Yamaha, meanwhile, quietly made history in the Super Hooligan support class. The brand logged its first-ever win in the category, as rider Cory West held off a pack of Ducatis in a late-race sprint. The victory came after three seasons of near-misses for Yamaha's naked-bike program.

"We've been chipping away at this for years," West said post-race. "To finally get that first win, especially at a track where we struggled last season, it validates everything the team has built."
