Nvidia's long-rumored N1 and N1X system-on-chip specifications have leaked ahead of an anticipated Computex unveiling. The high-end N1X will feature up to 20 Arm-based CPU cores paired with 6,144 CUDA cores, matching the desktop RTX 5070 in raw compute.
The leak, reported by Tom's Hardware, details two N1X SKUs: a flagship 20-core variant and a cut-down 18-core option with 5,120 CUDA cores. The standard N1 chip targets a lower tier with two configurations — a 12-core CPU paired with 2,560 CUDA cores and a 10-core model with 2,048 CUDA cores.
These chips represent Nvidia's most aggressive push into Arm-based client computing, potentially powering laptops, mini PCs, and even handheld gaming devices. The N1 series could challenge Apple's M-series chips and Qualcomm's Snapdragon X lineup in performance-per-watt.
If the specs hold, the N1X would bring desktop-class ray tracing and AI acceleration to portable form factors. Computex, set for late May, is expected to host the official announcement, with OEM devices likely shipping later in the year.
