Esteban Ocon's future in Formula 1 is under threat as Ferrari reportedly believes its academy prospect Rafael Camara is ready for a 2027 debut at Haas. According to German outlet AMuS, the Scuderia is preparing the young driver for a seat through its well-established pipeline into the American team.

Haas has long served as a junior team for Ferrari, providing a direct path for its academy graduates. Ocon, currently racing for Haas, now faces intense competition for his seat as the team looks toward its 2027 lineup. The French driver joined Haas for the 2025 season after leaving Alpine.

Camara, a Ferrari junior, has impressed in Formula 3 and is expected to move up the ladder quickly. His potential promotion would continue the trend of Ferrari placing its protégés at Haas, as seen with previous drivers like Charles Leclerc and Mick Schumacher.

No official confirmation has been made by Ferrari or Haas, and Ocon remains under contract. The 2026 season will likely serve as a critical evaluation period for both the driver and the team's long-term strategy.

"The relationship between Ferrari and Haas is unique in F1," a paddock source told AMuS. "If Camara continues his trajectory, it's hard to see Ocon staying beyond 2026."
