The suspect, a resident of Taganrog, was detained for allegedly creating and managing a criminal website that facilitated the sale of compromised user data.
The arrest represents a significant law enforcement action against one of the underground economy's key players in credential theft and resale operations. LeakBase served as a hub where cybercriminals could buy and sell stolen login credentials, passwords, and other personal information obtained through data breaches.
