Gate Ventures, the venture capital arm of crypto exchange Gate.com, has made a strategic investment in 3F, a platform that provides a one-click leverage solution for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). The investment positions 3F as a player in the DeFi infrastructure space, aiming to expand the utility of RWAs within decentralized lending markets.
The funding amount was not disclosed. The round was led by Gate Ventures, which described the investment as part of its ongoing commitment to foundational DeFi infrastructure. 3F allows RWAs to serve as collateral, offering stablecoin depositors a chance to earn what the company calls differentiated and durable yields.
The move comes as the RWA tokenization market grows, with traditional assets like real estate and bonds increasingly brought on-chain. Competitors in this space include platforms like Centrifuge and Maple Finance, but 3F differentiates itself by focusing on leveraged RWA positions and counter-cyclical yield strategies, according to the announcement.
This investment signals continued venture interest in bridging traditional finance and DeFi, particularly in areas that can generate stable returns regardless of market cycles. The ability to use RWAs as collateral in lending markets could unlock new liquidity, though regulatory uncertainty around tokenized assets remains a headwind.
Founded by a team with backgrounds in both traditional finance and blockchain, 3F aims to simplify access to these complex strategies. Gate Ventures noted its belief in the team's approach to building resilient DeFi products.
