OpenAI is engaging over half a dozen consulting partners to help enterprises deploy and scale its Codex coding tool. The AI lab aims to help businesses "rethink their business processes in the age of AI in a different way," according to chief revenue officer Denise Dresser. This push comes as both companies accelerate toward potential public offerings.

Anthropic's Claude Code tool has seen mass adoption, leading some businesses to spend more with that firm than with OpenAI, according to expense management platform Ramp. The rivalry has intensified competition across compute resources, enterprise adoption, and model quality. Dresser recently told employees that "the market is as competitive as I have ever seen it."
